Alleyways 2006 Metropolitan Transit Authority Franklin Street Subway Station, down town platform New York City, NY 84 x 164 x 40 inches photographs mirrors, gator foam, plastic, wood, light, spackle
Alleyways is a photo and mirror construction that creates the illusion of a labyrinthine world of cobblestone streets and 19th century buildings on the other side of the glass windows of the subway platform. The photographs depict streets of Tribeca located above the subway tracks. Subway trains and people are reflected in the mirrors as they pass through the station.
